I normally go cruising every time I got the chance. This has led me to many great times on the water having cruised almost everywhere in the world. Of course there have also been times where things weren’t that pleasant but for some reason one tend to forget those times and focus on the nice cruises where the weather and the sea were showing the nice side.
Besides cruising the seas I have been cruising inland waterways in Europe and especially enjoyed cruising the Dutch waterways. Not only are Holland a nice country to travel but the waterways are widespread and the tradition for boating is unique. The Dutch invented Yachting and pleasure sailing and made it so popular that it has spread to the entire world.
The other day I received a video from Holland showing a builder of the 11′ J-Skiff cruising the canals in Holland. He is using a silent electric motor to propel the boat and you can see the weather is nice and the sun is shining.
I must admit that the video really made me dreaming and longing for cruising the inland waterways again. The atmosphere and pictures are so picturesque that they could be taken directly out of a commercial.
Watch the video and judge for yourself. Does the video also makes you longing for cruising? Please share your thoughts and leave a comment.
Enjoy the video 🙂
Happy boat building,
